Why do you have so few designs?
We’re currently in the launch phase of our company. Right now, our goal is to focus on building a core following around the THREADS.GG brand and produce clothing that caters to those fans. We believe the best way to do that is to start small by releasing a handful of designs that introduce our brand into the market. Receiving feedback from the community is the most important part of this phase, so please let us know what you think.
Why does my shirt smell funny at first?
You might have noticed a mild vinegar smell when opening your shipment for the first time. No need to worry, this is completely normal and simply a side effect of the printing process. Running your shirt(s) through the wash one time should remedy the issue. If it doesn’t fix the issue, let us know and we will be happy to help out.
What causes the smell?
All of our shirts are printed on-demand using a process called Direct to Garment (DTG) printing. DTG printing allows us to keep our overhead low while also giving us the ability to provide a higher quality print. An important part of the DTG printing process is the pretreatment step. This step involves spraying the garment with a chemical solution that acts as a foundation for the ink to be applied to. The pretreatment step is similar to using primer on drywall before applying your paint. They both provide a layer on top of the target surface that is much more hospitable for the ink. This solution is what you’re smelling. No need to worry, washing the shirt once should remove the smell.
The solution itself is completely harmless, albeit mostly proprietary and secret. Researching DTG pretreatment solutions will yield varying results but can give you an idea of their ingredients. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out at any time.

Why do you use a Heroes of the Storm™ picture if you have no Heroes of the Storm shirts?
Simply put, the image was royalty free while simultaneously getting the message across that THREADS.GG is an esports brand. We plan on offering clothing relevant to all genres and fanbases in the future, but have decided to work our way there. Also, we just love the photo. The photo itself was taken by the talented photographer, Jamie McInall.
Heroes of the Storm is a trademark of Blizzard Entertainment, Inc., in the U.S. and/or other countries.
